About AJ Arcade
AJ Arcade is a small catalogue of free HTML5 games you can play in your browser, with honest editorial reviews. We don’t aggregate everything we can find. We publish what one of us has actually played, with a written review explaining whether it’s worth ten minutes of your time.
The site is run by three editors. Each has a coverage area and a profile page with their byline on it. Their work appears under their own name, not under a faceless “editorial team” label, because we think it matters who reviewed what.
Who runs it
Lakshmi Rao covers Puzzle and logic games for Jump Junction, based in Kochi.
Tomas Novak covers Racing, shooter, action for Jump Junction, based in Prague.
Imogen Hayes covers Arcade, sports, platformer, adventure for Jump Junction, based in Adelaide.
Editorial standards
Reviews are at least 250 words and reflect what the reviewer actually thought. Where a game has problems we say so. Where it’s middling we tell you that too. Star ratings are spread across the scale instead of clustered at 4.5, because the games on this site aren’t all equally good.
Reviewers don’t accept gifts or payment in exchange for coverage. That’s the only way an opinion-driven catalogue stays useful to anyone.
Game licensing
Every game embedded on AJ Arcade is licensed for our use, either through a direct agreement with the developer or through a distribution network (GameDistribution, GameMonetize, Poki, and similar). We don’t host pirated content. If you’re a developer and a game on this site is showing up without proper authorisation, contact us and we’ll remove it within one business day pending verification.
How the site is built
Game iframes don’t load until you click play, so the page itself stays fast. Advertisements are pushed into idle callback time so the initial render isn’t delayed by ad code. CSS and JavaScript bundles are small enough to load on a slow connection. Core Web Vitals scores sit in the “good” band on both mobile and desktop.
Reach the editorial desk
Corrections and developer responses go through the contact page. We respond within 24 business hours, Monday through Friday. To reach an individual reviewer about a specific piece, the email address is on their profile page.
